April 5 – 10, 2023 (6 Days) Havana, Cuba
Games will be Thursday, Friday, and Sunday at Ciudad Deportiva. Players will be split into 2 squads sometime before we go. Half will play and half will train. Then they’ll swap.
You can watch or explore while they are playing/training or just while your player is training. It is up to you.
There is not much to see/do around the field. If you want to explore you can get a taxi at the hotel. Also, Letty can arrange for a car/driver for you if you want. You can explore without the driver, but you will have to make your own arrangements.
ITINERARY:
Day 1 – Wed., April 5 – Travel Day
- Pick up at Jose Marti Airport – Hello, Cuba!!
- Bus transfer to hotel – Grand Aston La Habana
Day 2 – Thur., April 6 – Games / Clinics # 1 & 2
- 8:30 am – Bus pick up at hotel to transfer to facility:
- Game #1 / Clinic #1
o 1 team will play and the other team will train - Lunch at baseball field (included)
- Game #2 / Clinic #2
o The team that trained in the morning will play and the team that played will train. - Bus transfer back to the hotel to freshen up.
- Dinner at hotel (included)
- 7:00 pm – Bus ride to the fort grounds to view the Cannon Fire Ceremony (entrance included). Must be ready to depart the hotel at 7:00 pm.
Day 3– Fri., April 7 – Games / Clinics #s 3 & 4
8:30 am – Bus pick up at hotel to transfer to facility.
- Game #3 / Clinic #3
o 1 team will play and the other team will train - Lunch at baseball field (included)
- Game #4 / Clinic #4
- Bus transfer back to the hotel to freshen up
- Dinner & Performance at Mansion Castillo (not included- cost is about $50 per adult and $30 per child)- depart from hotel @ 4:00pm.
Day 4 – Sat., April 8 – Beach Day
- 9:00 am – Bus pick up at hotel and transfer to Santa Maria Del Mar Beach.
- Lunch on your own at the beach. We have a section of the beach reserved for us with umbrellas and with service from the nearby restaurant.
- 3:00 pm – Transfer back to the hotel to enjoy the pool.
- Dinner at the hotel (included)
- Enjoy Havana in the evening on your own
Day 5 – Sun., April 9 – Colonial Plazas & Game #5
- 9:00 am – Bus pick up at hotel and transfer to Game #5
- 9:30 am – Game #5 – 10 inning game, each team will play 5 innings
- 11:00 am – Final ceremony.
- 12:00 pm – Transfer back to the hotel for lunch (included)
- Bus transfer to explore Old Havana’s Colonial Plazas La Catedral and Plaza Vieja. Stop by La Bodeguita del Medio for a refreshment.
- 6:30 pm – Transfer back to the hotel (freshen up, change & get ready)
- 7:30 pm – Transfer to Farewell Night (not included – Cost is about $60 per person) at El Guajirito (Cuban Dinner, Buena Vista Social Club Show, Cigar Bar, Cuban Traditional Show).
Day 6 – Mon., April 10 – Bye, Bye, Cuba 10:30 am – Bus transfer to Jose Marti International Airport
